Just Believe

I am MJ
Miss Jane,

It is not the name I've been given but the name I choose for myself.

I miss beauty. Not the big loud noisy beauty of people or objects we buy. But the little beauty that just comes through silence when we stop listening, when we breath and when we use our own eyes to see the beauty only we can name. I miss that beauty, so I thought I would bring it here.

When I was little I thought being an adult meant not having a bed time but I’ve come to realize that it just means being in charge of my own bed time and it turns out that I am not equipped to handle that responsibility.

I wanted to make something ‘big’ to celebrate this blog reached 6,000 followers like three weeks ago. The ‘big’ thing was a giveaway… of two of the typography posters I made at the end of last year. I asked you for help, to choose between your two favourites and here are the winners! So, to thank you all for this (I mean c’mon! 6,000 followers? I know some people have like 20,000 but 6,000 is a HUGE amount for me! I’ll never be able to thank you enough), I’m giving you the opportunity to get these two unique posters.

What I give away:

  • 2 posters (29x41 cm) made by me, one with the quote ‘I solemnly swear that I am up to no good’ (see the original one), and the other with the quote ‘Things we lose have a way of coming back to us in the end, if not always in the way we expect’ (see the original one) Click the photos to see a bigger version

Things you need to know to participate:

  • You don’t need to be following me (chamberofweasleys) but it’s always nice to at least check the blog.
  • You can like the post.
  • You can reblog a maximum of 2 times.
  • I’ll ship all around the world.
  • The giveaway will end on FRIDAY 7th JUNE at 8pm GTM +1 time (Paris, Rome, Madrid…)
  • I’ll choose one number randomly with this and send a message to the winner. You’ll have 24 hours to answer me (until saturday 8th june 9pm GTM +1) so have your ask box opened. If I don’t get an answer by that time, I’ll choose another number.

If you have any more questions about this, please write me here.
GOOD LUCK !

this is the saddest thing i’ve ever heard…

Come sit down beside me

I said to myself,

And although it doesn’t make sense,

I held my own hand

As a small sign of trust

And together I sat on the fence.

Love is all you need?

I know this is somewhat of a long video to watch, but the message is very powerful. Please watch. Caution: you will probably cry

"Date yourself. Take yourself out to eat. Don’t share your popcorn at the movies with anyone. Stroll around an art museum alone. Fall in love with canvases. Fall in love with yourself."
